Turning the defence
Turning the Defence
A pass behind the opposition defense
is the most dangerous ball your team can play as long as the
weight of the pass is perfect. If it is hit too hard it will
probably go out or the goalkeeper will have a chance to get
to it. This pass causes more problems to defenders than any
other pass. They have to turn to get back, the attacker does
not. And even if they reach the ball before the attacker they
are facing the wrong way and will be under pressure to clear.
Playing the ball behind the defence gives your attackers and
wingers their best chance to score.
