The Tigers, missing a couple of players struggled to break through the Ninjas defense and have dropped down to fifth, while the win for the Ninjas takes them into second in the league.
Breaking through defenses was no problem for Nikhil
Ledlie. It was the ‘Lightning Striker’ verses
the Lightning Strikers. His half dozen today takes
him to the top of the goal scoring charts with
17. With Varun Rajgarhia’s goal, straight from
a corner and Ledlie shooting on sight each time
he got near the Strikers goal, the Hurricanes
won 7-4. And although the Strikers fought really
hard with Palash Joshi’s outstanding performance
and two goals, Karan Verman and Amesh Bhatnagar
got a goal a piece, they were unable to stop another
super show by the other ‘Lightning Striker’.
The best matches in the league always seem to come at the end of the day. And the Suns always seem to be involved. A five all draw with the Hurricanes. An unlucky, 3-4 defeat to the Atoms, and now a great comeback to hold the Hawks 2-2. They missed Sahib Singh but his brother Zorawer more than enough made up for his absence. The goals came from ‘red-hot’ Raghav Bhasin replying to Imaad Lalljee’s double strikes. It was Imaad’s best performance in the league and he could have had more, but was unlucky as two super volleys crashed against the post keeping the Suns in the game and keeping with the trend of exciting last games. So here’s to the league finishing the same way.
