Kapur matches Ledlie's clinical finishing with spectacular goals of his own.

27 January, 2002 (Round - 10)

The leagues two top strikers will face off against each other in a couple of weeks and it seems they were warming up for the clash by hitting some super goals. Aditya Kapur hit a hat trick against the Cubs and Nikhil Ledlie scored seven verses the Lightning Strikers to sweep their teams to victory. But before their goal scoring feats, Team Tigers pulled off an upset against the Little Ninjas beating them 1-0 with Sanjan Sabherwal's lone strike.

Aditya Kapur and Pratap show their poise.

Sidharth Khanna, the Ninjas striker played in a withdrawn role hanging back deep in his own half and only came into the game as an attacking presence in the fourth quarter. It was too late by then and Aditya Bahri, the Tigers keeper kept his second consecutive clean sheet.

The Mighty Atoms went on a scoring spree against the Super Cubs as Aditya Kapur hit his fourth hat trick in the league. Kapur's first goal was a superb right foot volley from the edge of the box and his second a scorching right footer from near the half line. Pratap Atwal scored two more to continue his impressive scoring run and Aman Banerji hit his first goal of the league with a volley to give the Atoms a six nil victory.

Having lost 7-4 to the Hurricanes in their previous encounter, the Lightning Strikers were ready to put up a fight this time. But Nikhil Ledlie had other ideas. The "Lightning Striker" was clinical with his finishing, scoring all seven in a 7-2 victory and destroying the Strikers after they had put up some early resistance with goals from Palash Joshi and Ashwin Hoon.

The Red Hot Suns shook off two consecutive defeats with a 3-1 victory over the Happy Hawks. The goals came from Gautam Anand (2) and Anand Madhok while Suhail Thomas gave the Hawks their only goal.
