'Deadly' Ledlie hits seven
in super strike show.

Dec 2, 2001 (Round 4)

Nikhil Ledlie hit all seven goals as Ten Hurricanes beat the Happy Hawks 7-1. He carried over his superb scoring touch from the previous round when he hit four against the Suns. The Hawks were clueless on how to stop him, and his goal scoring form looks ominous for the rest of the league. For the Hawks, Imaad Lalljee kept up his record of scoring in each round.

Ledlie strikes against the Suns

Earlier, Prithvi Dev hit 4 goals, two of them fantastic volleys and Sidharth Khanna hit his second consecutive hat-trick as the Little Ninjas beat Super Cubs 7-2. Shaunak Kumar scored twice for the Cubs.

The League’s joint top scorer, Sanjan Sabherwal struck twice as Team Tigers came from behind to beat Lightning Strikers 2-1 after Karan Dev Burman had given them an early lead.

But the match of the day was unquestionably the top of the table clash between the Red Hot Suns and the Mighty Atoms. The Suns who had played a five all thriller last week went into 2 nil lead only for the Atoms to pull it back and then take a two goal lead of their own before it finally finished at 4-3. The action packed encounter was as fast and furious as any match can get with both teams scoring a goal each from superb freekicks. Gautam Anand (2), Sahib Singh (1) for the Suns, and Aditya Kapoor (3) and Pratap Atwal (1) for the Atoms were the scorers.

The day though belonged to Nikhil Ledlie, whose super finishing has given the Ten Hurricanes their first win of the League.
